CO-PBST7 Standard Seven: Knowledge of Technology: The teacher is skilled in technology and is knowledgeable about using technology to support instruction and enhance student learning.
The teacher has demonstrated the ability to:
7.1 Apply technology to the delivery of standards-based instruction:
This standard is met through the creation of a WebQuest assingment through using technology and English standards to complete the project.
7.2 Use technology to increase student achievement:
This standard is met throught the SMART Notebook assignment. For my group's project we picked climates and the student can learn about each through a process of lecture, notes, picture, and quizes on SMART Notebook.
7.3 Utilize technology to manage and communicate information:
The Podcast Assignement as well as the Digital Story Telling assignment both helped achieve this standard, as there are multiple was being used to communitcate and enforce different types of information.
7.4 Apply technology to data-driven assessments of learning:
Both the SMART Notebook and the Webquest Assignement give students standards and interaction with technology to make the assignement a complete one.
7.5 Instruct students in basic technology skills:
The Ditgital Story Telling Assignment, the Podcast Assignement, SMART Notebook, and Webquest all used various forms of technology to display different ways of presenting information to students.
